Philadelphia Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Alleged DUI Driver

pweverA fair trial is at the foundation of the American justice system. Unfortunately, that can sometimes be more difficult to get when it comes to certain charges. Drunk driving charges often make the defendant feel as if they’ve lost before any legal proceedings even begin. That doesn’t have to be the case if the right attorney is there to represent the interests of the defendant.

Police are looking into a crash in which one person was killed in northeast Philadelphia. Drunk driving is the suspected cause.

A woman traveling down Academy Road at about three in the morning lost control of her car and rolled over the curb to hit a male pedestrian before finally running into a utility pole, knocking it over.

First responders declared the male pedestrian dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to be tested and medically evaluated by the authorities. It is likely DUI charges are pending.
