DUI Checkpoint Turns into Footchase

downloadPolice have arrested five people after a routine DUI checkpoint that turned into a foot chase.

According to authorities, the incident happened at Mosside Boulevard near Route 48 in Monroeville. Three people attempted to avoid being stopped at the checkpoint by running away once they were stopped. K-9 officers were able to track down the suspects who had fled the scene.

During the checkpoint officers were able to recover numerous guns from one of the vehicle.

None of the five suspects have been charged with DUI.
