CBS St. LouisA Democratic member of the Missouri state House has been arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in Jefferson City, the state’s capital city. According to police, Rep. Steve Hodges was arrested around 1:20 a.m. Thursday morning in Jefferson City. Hodges did not immediately return a telephone call Thursday from The Associated Press.

No matter who you are, or where you may be, driving under the influence of alcohol is illegal. If you are convicted of DUI charges, you can spend time in jail, pay heavy fines, lose your insurance and even your job. A DUI charge, however, does not necessarily mean you will be found guilty, however, a good attorney can possibly get your charges reduced or even dismissed, depending upon how law enforcement and others handled your case.

If you or a loved one are facing drug or alcohol related DUI charges, you need to have an experienced DUI attorney in your corner. Prosecutors will do all that they can to get a conviction. Having an attorney who knows both sides of DUI cases on your side is the best thing you can do in your defense. The Law Offices of Steven E. Kellis specialize in DUI defense cases and they can do the same for you.
